The Testimony of Paul du Toit (The farmer to whom God spoke in a dream to fill Loftus for Jesus)
A SHORT TESTIMONY OF MY LIFE AND SALVATION

I led a rough life in my younger years with many hair-raising experiences. There were numerous opportunities to make a choice to follow Christ and even though I heard the truth, I chose to turn a deaf ear.
It was just after twelve one evening that my fellow student-friends and I left the rag at varsity; only to find that we ran into a tent with Christian-students. One asked me whether I knew Jesus and wanted to know if I was aware of the fact that He loved me. Anger got the better of me and I told the boys that we were here to enjoy partying! I told them that this was a subject for Sunday and that I thought that they should go to bed . I added more verbs and adverbs that I will rather not repeat here.
Fifteen years later I met an intercessor by the name of Leon Coetzee; he told me how he and fellow Christian students used to pray for varsity students during the rag - all that I said was: "Thank you very much".
My brother, Leon gave his life to Jesus long before I did. He dragged me to a "Woord en Aksie" (Word and Action) Camp one weekend. My reply to his question as to how I enjoyed it was: "It was okay". My own agenda still enjoyed priority.
My mother always prayed for us. It was a great shock to our family when she was diagnosed with breast cancer; I was twenty seven years old then. It was only five years later when her life served as seed in the ground that we entered into an amazing spiritual awakening.
My wife and I witnessed how my brothers and sister began to pray and give their lives to Jesus Christ.
God's plan was perfect! The harvest of my mother's many prayers that she watered with her tears for her children's salvation was busy coming in.
My wife accepted Jesus as her Saviour before I did. I thank God for a wise help-mate who petitioned God to turn me from my ways as it would be very difficult for her to serve Him while I was still the old me.
It was late one evening in March 2005 that I stood on the porch of our flat at the sea. I experienced complete abandonment - a feeling of loneliness beyond comprehension and I knew in my spirit man that I was busy experiencing exactly how I would feel if I had to stand before God tonight . alone with no support from a pal or my wife making plans to get me out of the situation. The time for excuses has ended . it was final . and in my spirit I heard: "Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Lord".
It was as though the King of all kings was standing before me, saying: "What now?"
I stretched both my hands out to the Him in total surrender and wept: "Lord, take my life, take all of me. I will serve You with all that I have; no more compromises. I pleaded for forgiveness of my heavy load of sin through my tears. How awesome was His presence in my moment of abandonment! He was with me.
My heavy load was instantaneously replaced with a fulfilment and presence inside me that no words in any language are able to describe. I was thirty three years old.
Three years and four months later I received a dream from heaven about an outreach at Loftus. I was spiritually prepared as He was busy quickening my spirit for a period of four months before the dream. During this time I attended various conferences in preparation of what was still to come . and then it came!
At five o clock one Monday morning in June 2007 in a semi state of sleep and waking up I became aware of His Holy Presence at the end of our bed - it was not in the form of a person, but rather a cloud. A voice spoke: "I want you to do it for Me" and I immediately understood all that He meant; it was about the Loftus Outreach. My spirit man understands when God who is Spirit speaks to me. I laughed in my spirit and He immediately replied: "I am serious!"
I woke up and on my way to the bathroom the reality of my spiritual experience hit me; it hit my flesh man hard and I began to cry as a result of the intensity of such great an experience with the Living God. I told my wife everything.
I shared my instruction from heaven with my brothers and like one man they agreed that we fill Loftus for His glory.
As the day progressed I began to doubt and immediately asked the Lord to confirm to me what He shared with me that morning. My wife, Tania, received the following scripture as confirmation.
Pro 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Pro 4:21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
Pro 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
Pro 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Pro 4:24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
Pro 4:25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Pro 4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
Pro 4:27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left.
My brother, Gerrie received an unexpected sms from someone who was not aware of anything and it said: "You are going to be involved in a large visible ministry" and we thought: "Gee Lord, you are amazing, THANK YOU!"
A third confirmation came over the weekend when I attended a Word and Action Camp. One of the members of our small group spoke out: "Won't it be great if all of us received a sms saying: Let's fill Loftus for Jesus". I was touched by the tangible presence and awe of the Holy Spirit testifying with my spirit once again!
The Word says that the Holy Spirit teaches us all things. I was confronted by the following truth in Judges 6 & 7. Gideon needed his father's blessing before he could conquer anything for God and my brothers and I needed our earthly father's blessing in order to do this assignment for our Heavenly Father. Our father is not only the head of our family, but also the head of our farming business - we needed his blessing. He blessed us . Hallelujah
I shared our experience with a family friend, Angus Buchan. He was overjoyed with what I shared, for he received a prophetic word thirty years ago confirming exactly what God was asking us to do now! The prophetic word that Angus received was a vision of an old man with a cross in his one hand and the man said: "One day I will see you at Loftus". This did not make much sense to Angus at his small gathering in Natal thirty years ago, but today two pieces of a puzzle completes God's amazing puzzle-picture for revival in the centre of the capital of our country.
We will do our part in filling the stands for Jesus, our Guest of Honour. He will be there to watch as we play a match for Him - not in our own ability or strength, but by His power that He has deposited in us.
Can you imagine 55,000 people singing: "How great Thou art, how great Thou art!"
